Ama Gisèle is an artist, writer, and filmmaker from Queens, NY.

She has been writing all her life. She graduated cum laude from Amherst College with a B.A. in English and Black Studies. There, she published her first short story collection entitled "there are sharp things in the ground and her hands are soft," exploring the lives of Caribbean women immigrants and their American-born descendants. She also holds an M.A. in Digital Media from University of Goldsmiths, London. Her most recent film is called “Convergence,” an experimental documentary that explores intimacy, connection, and vulnerability. She currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
